Strange alarm sound on 2018 Aygo

While driving down the motorway today the car made what sounded like an alarm sound on the inside not the outside, 'made me jump'. At first I thought it was the radio so I changed station only to find it still happening. This is not my car 'works car' and only the second time I've driven it. Any ideas please????

No, It happened 5 time within 30 min, twice on the motorway then a 30 zone then a 20 zone.  I was not speeding in any of the areas.

The strange thing is... no speed camera on the motorway, there was one in the 30 zone but i'd already passed that one, then none in the 20 zone. Really weird it was like a siren, lets hope I get my works car back next week not the Aygo.

I suspect your Aygo has X-nav installed the warning tone is because you are nearing a Fixed camera, you can adjust the volume down in the settings
