Vibration at 2000 revs

Hello I recently purchased a very late IQ with 9 mths Toyota warranty still valid. I am experiencing the dreaded vibration at 2000 revs that has been much talked about, My dealer tells me that its a known problem , Toyota never issued a updated / modified clutch or recalled the cars so they cannot carry out any repairs under the cars warranty so I have to live with it. My Question is does any one know if the 1.3 engines have the same vibration problem.

Thanks

Hi

I have the 1.3 manual  and experience no vibration. Unfortunately i cant help. Some say check engine mounts are tight, worn out spark plugs, poorly adjusted fuel intake system, faulty timing belt, check exhaust is tight and others say clutch.

1.33 manual here too, pretty smooth running motor. I have heard clutch change helps as well on the 1.0 models.

Craig.
