Remove third row rear seats in Prius+ 2016/17 ?

I'm thinking about to remove the third row rear seats (we never use them) in our 2016/17 Prius+ to get even more space for our daughters wheelchair.

Is there any tecnical drawings showing how to do that?

Anyone here who knows how to do this ?

Looks like this.

Easier on the boot side but I think Ill find some screws (like them on boot side) under the plasic covers on the seat side

 

Think I have to do a new car inspection and a new registration for five seats instead of seven, if Ill remove those extra rear seats.

 

If Ill change my mind and will sell the car after removing the sats Ill have to do one more new car inspection and a new registration

After removing three plastic covers, loosen five screws, disconnecting one ”seatbeltswarning” cable and lifting out the third row seats… it looks like this.

 

I have reserved time for a new car inspection and a new registration for five seats instead of seven, on Thursday 23 May and if they say OK , I’ll fix new boot floor and some damping carpets

Did you manage to get a new registration for the five seat Prius Plus?

Did the workshop/Toyota say anything about the warranty after you did this?

Would probably need to inform your insurer as well. Might be classed as a modified vehicle.

Sorry for bering late on this.

I did get a new registration ( im living in Sweden and the cost was 1.800 sek I think, was some years ago)

I did contact my insurance company to.

Then I puted the seats back an did a new registration for 7 stater before I sold the car.

My local Toyota garage helped me to remove the seats ( there was som cables that I didnt dare to move but the tecnician showed me so I could put the seats back by myself)  

I cant remember they said it would affekt the warranty ( then I probably backend off)

You would need to advise your insurer if you are removing seats from your vehicle.
