Automatic Gear Shift Console

Hello everyone

I'm just back from a shopping trip with my mother.  Whilst I was driving she was putting some change in the cup holder (or what she thought was the cup holder) - it wasn't - she put pound coins on the blooming automatic gear area just I was going into reverse.  I managed to locate one but the other one definitely  dropped through.  My question - I don't really care less about the pound, but I'd like to know where it has landed and how easy is it to remove the centre console thingy to retrieve it.  Is it more hassle than it's worth, is it OK just to leave it where it is?  Thank you.
