Hi there

I have a 2013 plate verso

Today whilst driving I have got a warning light.

I took it to the local mechanic who put it on the computer

It came as message as

Diesel particulate filter differential pressure to high

Can it be this problem or different as VSC system means something else I believe

Please find attach pictures

Any help appreciated

Thanks

The VSC warnings are secondary faults, your Engine management warning light is on because as the code reader shows P244B.

P244B Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Pressure Too High

P244B
DTC Detection Drive Pattern DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
Engine is running at 4000 rpm with no load for 10 seconds or more.

While driving, Catalyst Differential Pressure becomes more than 0.47 for 3 seconds.

(1 trip detection logic)

  • DPF catalytic converter (Exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly)

  • Differential pressure sensor assembly

Common Inspection Item:

  • Fuel injection system

  • Intake/Exhaust system

  • After treatment control system

P244B is the main fault and the VSC is upset because there is a fault stored in the engine management. If you have less than 100,000 miles on the clock then the car is still within the 100,000mile/5year warranty take your car to Toyota.

The OP said theirs is a 2013 Verso - so beyond the 5 year/100,000 mile warranty on time?

Thanks as it's a 2013 plate and only done 60000 miles would the warranty cover it

I bought this from the Toyota dealers from the used section who has informed me it still as one year warranty
