Hi I’ve had a 13 plate Auris 1.6 sports for about a week but I’ve noticed the clutch release is high I mean about a penny’s width away from the top is this normal for a Toyota I know every car is different but it’s way out of my comfort zone there’s no slipping and everything else seems fine

I also have higher biting point, had it similar on my older non Toyota car, i guess it's due to automatically adjustable clutch.

Because of this you cant really compare the biting points etc with a non adjustable clutch. I would not worry much about it.

It depends on how high the biting point is. Potentially the clutch friction plate could be nearing a replacement soon. It may also just be related to you becoming acclimatised with a new car too.
