Key fob not working

2009 iq low mileage bought recently. Last week or so the keyless fob has started working intermittently. It’s a bit of a lottery now if the car locks or unlocks.

Local locksmith / key fob specialist ran a meter over it and apparently Battery ok.

As of writing this the car is sat outside unlocked.

Anybody any ideas? Fuse? Antenna? Something else?

Is this happening when parked in one location or anywhere?

I'd change the Battery just to double check.its not that before doing anything else. There's you tube clips to show how on do it.

Does the fob unlock/lock the car using the buttons?

Is the fob next to a mobile phone in your pocket?

Are there other car keys on the same keyring?

Got to be worth the cost of a new Battery to check, do you have the 2nd fob , try that one instead. Had the same problem on the tivoli, new Battery in the 2nd keyfob, problem sorted.
