Hi all, I've finally got around to my questions, are you sitting comfortably? 

I'm driving an old Honda Stepwagon at the moment but it will fall foul of the upcoming ULEZ restrictions on London next year so need to upgrade. I'm not keen on the newer stepwagons, partly because the seats don't fold flat to make a bed anymore, (important). So I've been looking at imported Voxy/Noah and Nissan Serenas. 

My first question is what are peoples opinions on my choices (obviously I'm expecting a bias towards Toyotas). I saw somewhere that 10-15 year old Toyotas were being recalled because of a break problem, is this right? It makes me nervous. 

My other question is does anyone have experience with importing a van themselves? I'm not exactly loaded and the thought of getting a 6 grand car for 3 grand is very appealing but is it worth the hassle?
