ABS pump click

Hi I’ve just bought an Avensis mk2 saloon, 1.8 auto. I’m really pleased with it although it does need a little TKC. I have noticed that when I turn on the ignition (without starting the car) there is a loud click from the ABS module.there appears to be some kind of relay attached to it so I’m not sure if it’s that.

Does anybody else have this on their vehicle? Just wondering if it is normal or not?

I also have a graunching  noise when braking at low speed. The wheel sensors and rings are all fine.....although the garage tell me it's thrown up codes for a brake light switch and an ABS pressure sensor.

Has anybody come across this before? I was hoping it was just a bit of corrosion.

Nobody responded to my original post so I'd really appreciate some help. This is my first Toyota and I was very please with it initially.
