RAV4 diesel rattling noise

Hello, and congratulations on your forum. 

 

I am having a 2015 RAV4 diesel 2.0lt with 125hp 4wd. 45K miles. The car is located in Greece. I bought it two weeks ago second hand. 

After purchasing and drove it on the open highway i noticed the below: 

When the car is idle and i i rev it, no strange noise occurs. When under load, and during acceleration with all gears, and from 1400rpm to full , i am hearing a rattling noise with the same tone as a backfire , or as having bad quality diesel in it. The noise is not loud, but ofcourse is not normal and very annoying for an almost new car. When i step out of the gas the noise dissapears.  The source is somewhere below the dash behind gas pedals of the driver side (left hand car). When in full revs, the noise still occurs but it is minimized due to the normal engine noise overweights it. 

However diesel quality is very good, (checked with my other toyota car which faces no problem) and also in the dealer they checked the fuel injectors and all where fine. 

They told me that a possible reason is the DPF filter that it is blocked and have to be cleaned or replaced. Due to high cost i do not want to do it before making sure that the noise comes from that. So i am asking for your help. Is it possible DPF filter to produce such a noise? From my knowledge this is impossible. 

Waiting any ideas. Its a pitty to have such a nice car producing a noise like a diesel corolla of 1990. I checked it before buying it but when the surrounding is noisy and the windows open the problem is minimum thats why i didnt notice it in the ''before buy'' checks.
