Warning beep?

Since I picked up the car (C-HR Excel) last week I have experienced an intermittent loud beep or ping noise not unlike a submarine sonar. This is very intermittent and there is no accompanying warning light. Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks Ian, I thought that as well, but I'm not convinced. I wonder if anyone else has heard this "ping"?

Could it be an audible warning from one of the TSS features.

I think it is when encountering average speed cameras rather than a single speed camera.

It's a warning that you are approaching a school, ambulance station, etc. In my area I have to pass 2 schools every time I go out and the beeping is driving me mad. It starts about 300 yards before the school gatesI and stops at the gates. I appreciate it's TSS but once I get the beep the warning is over and I want to switch it off - but cannot find out how.
