USB ports

Hi,

My UK Rav4 2019 Design Trim does not come with USB ports in the central compartment, the one between the front seats. Instead, There seems to be another 12v connector.

I was under the impression they came with two additional UsB ports  there?.

Regards,

O

So was I Oscar, it may be trim dependant though, I’ll do a bit of digging

Do you have 2 for the rear passengers ?

Hi,

Yes, two for the rear passengers and one on the central console.

On the literature says “up to five” so I guess that should explain it.

Dont ever assume...;)

O

nothing stopping you fitting a 12v>2x (or more) USB adapter if you only want them for charging.

Hi,

Thanks. Yes, I know I can get an adaptor.

But I was under the impression all Rav4 were coming with 5 usb sockets.

O

I must admin, so was I.

In the configurator, if you select "Design" spec, under Multimedia it just says "USB connector" (singular), but on the Excel says exactly the same thing.

My Excel has tons of them.
But I think the only one that will play music etc is the one in the centre console by the aux socket.

Exactly, the USB videos I've seen all show the one next to thew AUX in port, two power-only in the cubby under the front armrest and two power-only under the rear air vents.

That’s disappointing if that is the case.

I normally have an iPod plugged in and stored in the arm rest out of the way. Perhaps I will be able to stream via bluetooth, will have to wait and see.

Probably - I was able to stream from my phone via bluetooth during my test drive.

Yes, miracast (USB or WiFi) or bluetooth is possible.

  • 2 years later...

Hi all

I have a UK Design spec 2019 with 5 x USB ports

1 below heater controls

2 for rear passengers in the back face of the front armrest.

And 2 inside the armrest however these two have no 5v power. Can't find any fuse allocation info for them.

Any suggestions?
