New to toyota

Just bought a toyota avensis 1.8 petrol business edition 2017 plate with 4800 miles on the clock in Tokyo red 

 Im new to Toyota's what should i expect from.my new car have i made a good choice

Hi Ian, well, if you haven't made a good choice then neither did I ... 😛 (btw I am on my 3rd Avensis estate). Buying an Avensis is more of a sensible rather than emotional decision as they aren't the flashiest or sportiest.

I think that it will just be a case of you becoming familiar with the car & it's systems. If you only have the quick start manual rather than the full manual I would recommend downloading the full for car & infotainment from Toyota (it's foc). You probably want to check if the mapping has been updated (again foc from Toyota for the first 3 years) - the latest was just recently released 19v1. It will help with both of these if you create a MyToyota account.

This engine has very little torque at low revs so assuming that you have a manual rather than the CVT until you get used to it & the clutch it isn't unusual to sometimes stall even though you may have many years of experience in other cars.
