Avensis 2012 windscreen washers

Hi

My passenger side washer nozzle has always been far weaker than the drivers side. It has always just about reached the windscreen. Now the water still comes out, but does not reach the glass. It just puddles on the plastic panel below the windscreen.

I have tried cleaning both nozzles and I have blown through the pipes and they are all clear.

Any ideas how I can improve the passenger side washer ?

Have you looked at the Y one way valve in the washer tubing - may need replacing if partially blocked.

If these are anything like those on the 2010 Auris then I find a small childs paint brush pushed into the opening and spun around does the job. Keep dipping the brush in bathroom cleaner solution that will help dissolve limescale. The Auris jets are like 3D printed plastic parts with just a slit as an opening.

Last year I had a similar problem with the left nozzle, so removed both nozzles to check and clean. I also checked the hoses and connections. I looked at the hose where it runs at the bonnet hinge to make sure it was not kinked or damaged. The actual nozzles didn't look blocked, and I put them back on opposite sides - left to right and visa versa.
After reassembly, everything worked better. I only use pre mixed washer fluids.

Look at this if the divider valve is faulty -
