DPF problem?

Hello good people

Sorry if my english is not perfect, but I am gonna try my best here, I recently bought a 2nd hand Toyota Avensis d4d 150(t27) year 2009. 170.000 Km

The guy who sold it to me, said the car was parked for a while and ran out of Battery, that why the console had wrong date, language and such, well, I tested and it was pretty smooth, after a week or 2, the car started to throw white smoke(no lights or fails in the ECU), the smoke is getting worse and more and more often, specially in 4th to 6th speed when I accelerate it up hill. I been browsing, and asking in a couple workshops, including offical toyota one. They told me it sounded like its a DPF problem, I kept browsing and found out I can just disconnect the Battery and connect it again, so the ECU resets and stops the smoke for a while. Official toyota workshop says they will just clean the 5th inyector, the butterfly valve(translation check here) and force a DPF regeneration, and hope it last. I think they know this is not gonna work, and will just make me spend 250€ probably just reseting the ECU, and then make me buy a whole new DPF. I apreciate any advice here.
