anyone know if the sportif has an immobiliser? i don't think so but girlfriend had a key cut and it turned the barrel all right but the engine wouldn't fire?

ive got a feeling that they do, my spare master key (grey) is slightly different from my normal black key. Experience tells me that different colour keys are normally something to do with it?? But i may be wrong...

Yeah the grey key is for you to make a copy of if u take it to like.... toyota or something, u can't start the engine if you take it to a shop to copy just like that. So i guess it is a immobiliser....

hi guys,

you were correct, went to the toyota dealer. the black key is a master key the grey key is a subkey dunno what that means. anyway they can get a key cut off the chassis number but it costs £70!

and yes it is immobilised.
