Hi,

I drive 2014 Rav4 with 2.0L D4D 2WD 97000 klm, I was in the local auto shop asking how to avoid getting the DPF issue since I had it few months go due the short journeys in the city, which he advised to use Dipetane 1L Fuel System and ask me to drive long distance and rev it up to 3000, 4000 RPM, so I went to the motorway and tried what he told me,however going through all the gears at full throttle the RPM did not go over the 2100 , is that normal?

No, it's not normal assuming you were doing a suitable speed, is the EML on?

Thanks for the reply really appreciate it

There is no EML or any other warning lights in the dashboard, Also i took it for full service 4 weeks ago in the toyota garage who confirmed there is nothing wrong with the car. but i did not mention anything about the RPM as i was not aware that can go up more than 2100.

Hi Bila.

Do you now what an OBD 2 reader is and do you know where it fits on the car as it bring up any possible fault codes with the car?

Look at these if you can open the link?
