Avensis T27 shock absorbers replacement

Hello! I want to replace my shock absorbers of my T27 Avensis. One option is the replacement with the same standard Toyota absorbers, the other option is KYB Excel-G. The said me from official Toyota garage that they are too much harder than the original ones and the car would be too much stiff. Has anyone made this replacement? What would you say? Thank you for your time and answers
