Oil ?

Does anyone know the amount of oil the 3sgte takes......like when you are doing an oil change.

Got to change the oil and filter.

Hi mate, just did an oil change a few days ago but without changing the filter. It took a whole 4 litres of Mobil 1 15w50 to bring it up to the full mark.

Hello mate. I use exactly the same oil as DeusMR2... but mine needed a little more than the 4 litres. It depends on exactly how much you can drain the old stuff (and be bothered to wait).

Warm the engine for 10 minutes and it'll come out as quick as you like. A little advice... fill the filter 3/4 of the way before fitting it back on. Be careful, as it goes on at about 45o angle.

Dry fill: 4.3 litres

With oil filter change 3.9 litres

Without oil filter change: 3.6 litres

This is for a rev1 or rev2 I believe, but it's pretty spot on with my rev5 NA.

Just fill up gradually and keep checking the dipstick.
