Ultimate conversion which has not been done yet....2JZ-GTE in a MK1 MR2!

Physically an extreme challenge (not going to same impossible because if money was no object any conversion can be done)

Imagine over 1000bhp in a car that can weigh as little as 800kg's when stripped out

Very scary car, i can only imagine that the car would go 0-60 in under 3secs or maybe even 2!:drool:

ta mate

will just get me wondering more though im still undecided!

been looking into getting the yaris tuned stupidly!

CTS engine is a deemed 'no-no' now as he car has to be ideally left hand drive! as the manifold is set to foul the steering coloumn :(

turbos and supercharges  direct import from japan or the states :help: but half the price than UK prices

but then the mr2 is a fast car to start with....................... :ffs: which makes more 'easier' sense and is loads cheaper to have a car of such stature in the first place!

been lookin at supra and as much as id love one i think its a slight tad out of my league at the min..... :(

maybe in a few years

mr2 is still outweighing everything!

hmmm after months of thinking and bibbs' car just wetting my appetite i think mr2 is the way to go!

looked into 3S conversions for the yaris but its just gonna be silly money and loads of hassle

so may aswell start with a fast car instead of trying to make one!

supras a little out my league for now but mr seems that 'good choice!'

being serious, I have been lucky enough to have had quite a few nice motors. At BMW I had M3s and M5s and beleive me, a Supra is every bit as good to drive.

And don't be too down on automatics. In today's traffic they can be a boon and you can still get the tail out. In fact, other than leaving two black lines away from a standing start, there isn't much advnatage to a manual.

I think it just shows how silly insurance premiums can be - why do they think an auto Supra is less likely to crash?

And why aren't you in an auto? Look at Michael Schumacher, or indeed any contemporary F1.

Our Surpa is off the road for a couple of months, but if you are still deciding then we can meet up and I'll show you what an auto Supra can be like.

in fair honesty autos bore me and i have driven a few from clios to range rover v8s! i know they have there pros for idling around town and motorway stints, but theres mot much more fun than knocking the gearbox through all the cogs in a manual!

also F1 and autos, boring!!! makes it too easy the cars should be manauls to really test the 'real' drivers! non of this poxy computer controlled rubbish!

2p people! 2p!
