Hi All;

I have Toyota Corolla Runx 2005 and I cannot disassemble the steering wheel horn since their is no screws on the sides of the wheel.

How can i disassemble the wheel please?

Hi,

If you turn your steering wheel 90deg so the underside is visible, you should see a small hole, about 5mm+

If you look into the hole with a torch you should see a metal bar, thats part of a large spring clip that retains the horn cover.

To remove press that bar inwards with a screwdriver blade to release, as you gently ease  the cover off,  can be a bit hit and miss.

Before you do that you must disconnect the Battery negative lead and wait 10 mins for the airbag circuitry to discharge.

If you do not have that hole on the bottom, seems Toyota use another type where its held in with two screws accessible after removing some sectioning on the side, some vids on Ytube.

Thank you very much. i saw it and push it but did not succeed to release the horn cover. was afraid not to damage

The spring clip is almost the size of the whole horn cover, so it needs a careful but strong push in to release it, use the largest flat blade screwdriver you can get in the hole and one with a good grip handle so you can get the right pressure on it.
