I Hate Clampers!

:ffs: Lucky me, I got a :censor: £90 clamp fine today in Stevenage.

Had a day off work, so i though I'd go to the gym for the day. Got there at 8.30 ish this morning. Went in, had a workout, then as i'm going on hols soon, had a sun bed. Then a free massage. Had lnch there too. Then went and had a sauna, jacuzzi, and a bit of a swim. Then finnaly watched a bit of sky tv. Went out to my car just before 4 and it was clamped.

What's more annoying is that I've parked there before and not been done!!!

The clamper said it was coz of the time and area of the car park that I left my car in, as some commuters leave their cars there for free and catch the train to London.

They said I could write to the manager to try and get a refund. I will write to him with a photocopy of my gym pass and see what happens, but I don't think I stand much chance of getting my money back. :ffs: :ffs: :ffs:

Anyone else had bad experiences with clampers??

is there a sign which say it only for people who use the gym, if so get them to refund you and try to get some extra money of them for the hasstle

It's a leisure park, with bars, clubs, a cinema, Mc D's and this gym. There's a sign saying you'll be clamped if you aren't using the amenities. But I was. The gym said it's nothing to do with them. The clamper said he had heard of a couple of people getting their money back before (but I didn't hear it from him, nudge nudge wink wink).

One of the clampers (a proper Arni sized bloke) even goes to my gym, but he wasn't there!

Fingers crossed, as I can't afford £90.

The most annoying thing is that a BMW parked next to me wasn't clamped, and he was parked there when I got there and when I left! :ffs:

I'm suprised the gym doesn't give you a little sticker/card to put in your windscreen. My gym does, so I don't get any hassle.

Apparently they did, but I never recieved one!
