Hi! We've got a 2008 Prius.

We need to install a car seat for our infant and therefor need to disable the airbag at the back car seat. How can we do that?

Thank you!

There are no forward facing airbags at the rear seats, so there is nothing to disable. Installing car seats in the front passenger seat is generally not recommended.

Some people have their baby chairs facing backwards and i am assuming this is the case with the OP.

Car seats for small babies are generally rear facing as they are safer, but it's also safer to put them in the back seats. Decent modern seats use ISOFIX anchor points, which again are only in the rear seats of a car.

It appears that the OP is non-UK, so his/her country may not have the same safety rules as the UK. Saying that, I don't think the OP has explained or described clearly what they are trying to achieve. Also doesn't understand the car systems safety systems. There is the curtain airbag that runs front to rear, on both sides of the roof lining. So long as safety takes priority over convenience, that's all that matters!
