Good question!

Is that the same as facelift / pre-facelift?

Everyone else on here seems to know except me!

Hi there,

In addition to the changes in Seab's post :-

The model designations changes from S, GS, GLS, SR & T-Sport to T2, T3, T-Spirit & T-Sport.

The dashboard buttons are squarer and the air vents different

There are side airbags (apart from T2, I think)

There's a light in the boot (oooh!)

Theer are 3 3-point rear seatbelts (instead of a middle lap belt).

T-Sport wise, the 5-door version was made available in the UK as well as the rest of Europe.

I think that's it now. Everyone keeps asking about the differences between the French and Japanese cars so now that my wee sister has a 1.0 Blue I'll try to take some piccies and stuff at the weekend when they're side by side.

Yours dorkily,

Alan

Yeah, I always wondered why there wasn't one. Pain in the :censor: when I arrive at my caravan in Wales and am trying to unpack in the dark.

and to add specifically to t sports...

Phase 1 had silver door handles and gear knob and steering wheel

pase 2 had chrome handles, gearknob and a not so good in my opinion black steering wheel

The suspension was also revised quite a bit as the phase 1 was crashy to drive on motorways. Havent tried a phase 2 so wouldnt know!

The salesman at my dealers has got one and says it is a totally different (and better) car to drive.

But then the would say that, wouldn't he?

Plus:

Taken from a review about the phase 2 Yaris:

The headlamps have been restyled into a teardrop shape and the inner surface has been chromed to improve light dispersion to give better illumination at night.

T-Sport models share the same lights instead of the smoked versions of their predecessor.

Redesigned front and rear bumper

All petrol engines meet the upcoming Euro IV requirements by using new piston designs, a revised exhaust manifold and catalytic converter and new programming of the ECU.

The rear clusters on the Yaris have been tweaked over the outgoing model and are now all red, to give a cleaner look.

T-Sport models feature 2 fog lights in the rear bumper.

The dashboard now has a matt finish, and is of a darker grey than the previous model

Extra reinforcement has been added to the sills and A-pillars to reduce cabin intrusion in the event of a crash.

In the event of a frontal impact, the brake pedal dislocates from its fixings, which should minimise ankle injuries.

Arrive at... Sounds like it is a static caravan to me :)

Spot on mate.

28ft long. Might just make my 1 litre breathe a little hard!

Yeah, it's my little bolt hole in Wales where I go to relax and the pub a mile down the road doesn't understand the words "closing time".

I also think the phase 2 TS could be slightly down on bhp, :( 103 where the phase 1 was 105, must be all that EU b****cks.
