Wanted the windows to go up when I put the central locking on

Rang helpful local dealer and he said they should be able to programme it with their tech guy.

They do it on other toyotas like the Ch-v so shouldn't be a problem on the 2019 corolla sports wagon

Booked in on monday to have it done at no charge.

Will let you know if sucessful

I just had this done on mine today. Window closing is not automatic when you lock with a quick key press but if you press and hold the lock button for a couple of seconds the windows will then all go up... which is what you are wanting, I assume?  Likewise they all go down (as far as you want) when you press and hold the unlock button.

My dealership didn't know about this tweak until I told them and it's taken me a while to persuade them it's possible - I've had the car two months. The service guy who did it today said I was the first customer to ask for it. It's just a setting on the computer - easily done and there was no charge. Apparently Toyotas aren't usually equipped with this feature so it's a new procedure for them.

Ah well, they got some good practice in on my car today and will know for the future! 😄

That's great thanks

They also said they can disable the seatbelt chimes for specific seats

There are loads, most are very boring and the best I have found are:

Remote open/close windows

Auto rear wiper when front wipers operating and reverse is selected, can be set ON/single wipe , ON/constant wipe , OFF

Unfortunately there is no overall list published only small charts of customisations listed under each possible selection e.g lights, locks, Windows , Nav, AC etc, etc. and it would take days to try on collate all of them.

Here are lighting options for a Hybrid HB the first chart is settings via Diagnostic computer (GTS)

That's a lot of customisation

Posted

Have been to the dealers to have my windows to be programmed to go up automatically when I hold the lock butto

Great improvement

For so long now  I have been asking my dealer about this customisations and none of the technicians know how to do it

Try asking another dealer

I asked my dealer to do the windows setting on my RAV4 before it was delivered in May.  They also said I was the first to ask for it and that they hadn't been aware before.

I now realise I could have had it done on my last car too, a 2016 Prius.  From the way it was worded  in the manual, it could have been only available on cars with the sunroof (it opens closes the sunroof too, if fitted), but this time I asked them to check and I'm glad I did.  In the current weather it's nice to get all the windows open as soon as I'm in remote range, so the worst of the heat has escaped before I jump in the car.

Just a shame we can't have ventilated front seats like the US/Canadian (and no doubt other) market models.

Got it done at last by the service manager. How come the technicians doesnt even know how to do it. It only took atleast 3-5 mins to be done
