Voice recognition 2009 2,2D

Hello. Have searched everywhere for a solution.....When I press the talk switch it says "say the command after the beep" but there is no beep???

Can anyone help pointing me in the right direction to nailing this one?

2009 2.2D European. Not entune system.

The beep sound can be anoyingly loud to come, so maybe someone either reduced the volume, or turned it off.

The system probably works fine, so try some commands, or use this below to adjust it

To change the beep volume:
1. Hit the talk button 
2. Say "Setup"
3. Say "System Setup"
4. Say "Guidance Volume"
5. Adjust the volume
