Towbar - Bypass Relay for 2005 Mk 2?

Just about to hit the button for a towbar for my Rav4.2 2.0 petrol, and I noticed a warning that "Amazon Ember', Arial, sans-serif;font-size:13.33px;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;font-weight:700;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:left;text-decoration:none;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;">for cars produced after year 2002 we recommend the usage of by pass relay in order to protect the electrics of the car".

Can anyone advise whether my 2005 4.2 needs a bypass relay, please?
