Check VSC system EGR valve problem

I have owned my 62 plate 2012 avensis 2.0 D4D estate  for 4 years and as a private hire driver , i drive over 40000 miles a year .The only problem i have is that once a year the display shows a message check vsc system and a yellow triangle plus other yellow warning lights are illiminated . The check engine light,traction control light,auto handbrake operation inoperative light and the yellow handbrake light . In my 4 years of ownership,  I know its time for the egr valve to get cleaned and then everything works fine . I find it strange that people enter wrong diagnosis and opinions on the forums . Expensive fuel or additives dont work . neither does a blast on motorway . stop start driving causes filter to clog up . carbon cleaning fixes it .I plug in my obd fault reader and P0400 tells me the engine control module has detected the engine gas recirculation valve is not flowing recirculated exhaust gases when it is commanded to open the flow of gases . kind regards Tariq Uber Driver
