Low biting point??

Hi I bought a 2017 Yaris last month from Toyota and I just wanted to check whether it’s normal to have a very low biting point?

4 weeks later I’m still struggling with my biting point/revs especially with hill starts  (I live in a very hilly town). I’m usually very good with my clutch control but I just can’t grasp it in this car.

Ive been driving 25 years yet I feel like a new driver with my boy racer revving 😁 So rather than make a fool of myself by going back to the garage, I just want to check this is normal and I just need to get use to it. I know it doesn’t help going from a diesel car which I have driven for years to a petrol.
