@flash22 the part numberof the head unit is 86140-0D180 Fujitsu Ten 138000-5300B101 and the part number of the GPS module is 86840-0W012, I have a GPS antenna but it has the wrong connector on it and I also would need a connector to adapt a DAB aerial so it can plug into the unit, the GPS and DAB sockets look like they use the same type of plug? do you know where I can get these plugs from?

Cheers

I dont have a DAB antenna yet and the Toyota GPS antenna doesnt have a connector on it, I'm trying to find out what connectors will fit the sockets on the head unit and gps module so I can fit them to the antenna I have and a DAB antenna when I get one

They are Toyota specific plugs and are a crimp type - gps, buy a used one (86860-0D020)

A pic of the dab socket

I haven't had much luck tracking down these connectors most of Toyota's connectors are oe and made by Sumitomo aka SWS

if you go oem the aerial base needs to be changed as does the cable between the radio and the A pillar

The gps connector is white and looks like this........... (this is NOT a GT5)

another question, the socket between F31 and F34 is not used, what is it for?

That is left over from the touch it's not used in the yaris as of 2014 - it was originally power, grounds and mic to the nav module

btw. dab and gps are both use the female SMB plugs with a Toyota specific housing just to lock it in position

Information update.

Dab and GPS connectors are made by Sumitomo (HFC III connectors) i can't find a supplier for quantities less than 1000 housings and 5000 terminals

Another Hidden menu, works on many of the Toyota touch 2 systems

Setup - General - volume settings

Press top and middle left 3 times each e.g. Top, Middle - Top, Middle - Top, Middle

Getting back to exploring the touch 2

I was port scanning over bluetooth (pan) but have worked out how to get an Ethernet connection, it needs to be a local connection e.g. host to client no hub or switch

currently, there are 3 open ports

843 - possibly Adobe socket server

844

851 - This seems to used for services such as d-bus

tt2 851.txt

This is a common Linux script used to scan dbus with Linux or bash on Windows

import sys
import dbus

def main(service, method, args):
    bus = dbus.bus.BusConnection("tcp:host=192.168.0.1,port=851")
    p = bus.get_object(service, "/" + service.replace(".", "/"))
    i = dbus.Interface(p, dbus_interface="com.harman.ServiceIpc")
    print "calling %s(%s)" % (method, args)
    print i.Invoke(method, args)

if __name__ == "__main__":
    main(*sys.argv[1:])

 turn it into a .sh script and chmod +x the permissions (not my script) change the ip and port to suit your needs

That is aftermarket sat nav for the touch 2, updates for these type of add-ons are rare and with very little support imo

you can find these units on the like ali express for a lot less

For my money i would go with an Alpine or pioneer - android auto / Apple Carplay unit what start around £250 upwards

Thanks  a lot Bob .

I'll wait a bit longer and further searching for a second hand TAS500 before I go for an aftermarket.

Of you see some let me know !

Ground the mic detect to a ground (Negative) Pin 6 (snip the cable - 50-60mm down the wire and connect it to a ground or the case of the radio)

The surround for the touch2 is the same external size. its the internal size that is different, The frame/fascia is Part No. 86451-0D030

Bomber. The op doesn't have the sat nav

Hi, i have same problem. Can you post pins again as its not available anymore?

I had to look through this thread to see what you were referring to

Pin 6 is mic detect

Sorry for the delay, I have not been on the pc much lately

There is a mic detect unless this is grounded the Bluetooth will not be enabled you also need the mic (Plug F31)

As for the size difference the easy option it to swap the dash pad but it should be the same as yours is a 2015

Nav pinouts.pdfUnavailable

Do you have a copy of this still please, it's showing as unavailable to me, and the Chinese/Russian nav unit isn't powering down properly.

Aside from that I'm relatively happy with the unit so my plan is to add a switched relay to turn it off when the car is off.
