i took that down as it was incorrect, you may like to update your profile

its 2016 isn't it ?? i will drop you a PM

Thanks again Bob.

Could I trouble you to take a look at this, as the wiring colours from Russia/China don't seem to line up with the wiring diagram.

From the diagram, I think yellow (1) should be chassis ground, pink (2) is the VSS, red (3) is switched live and black (4) is permanent live.

I essentially want to splice the switched live to power a relay to shut off permanent live to the nav unit when the car is off.

Go by pin number, not colour

V4 in the PDF is the socket view

as you look at your picture

4 3 2 1

8 7 6 5

pin 3 is Acc

pin 4 is perm 12v

You can verify that with a multimeter

switch live and ground for the coil. Permanent live on in/out to the the load side

it's more than likely android getting corrupted as it powers on/off and/or It's got an update it doesn't like, if the module runs off a sd/tf card back it up and change the card to something name brand

@les_b If you can post the part number of the replacement that would be good

you can add the nav to your existing unit, The touch 2 has 2 boards the DAB is on the upper board you should be able to swap the boards over (1-2 ribbon cables and 5 screws), it should detect the dab if not it will just be needing a DA firmware update

Hi

I remembered reading this post. I have a hybrid dab radio in a petrol car and want to swap the dab module/board to my non hybrid non dab radio. The hybrid start up splash screen annoys me.

Looks like I just need to swap the back plate (with antenna socket hole) of the radio and the top board as you say.

Both DAs have the xe3864 fw on them.

Will this work for sure?

Thanks

Fleck

Not had to do that swap, non-dab units are not that common in the UK, what is the current firmware on both units?

OK swap the board if it doesn't pick up the hardware you can update the firmware, QNX can be very odd - the first few boots do not connect the sat nav plug the USB into the DA

OK will try over the coming days when I get the opportunity.

Can you please send the correct fw for the latest fw in case I need it....

Image of non dab attached. I do have a version downloaded but couldn't get it recognised.
