1 year Old Yaris

My wife is thinking about a year or two year old Yaris to replace her Mk1. Probably the 1.5 petrol

One of her doubts is the noise level. The 1.3 Mk1 is great but is like driving inside a can of pebbles at times. Water sounds a river running through the car and the road noise is not pleasent. But it's been reliable and nips around perfectly.

Does the latest version suffer from any issues like that ? The shape looks good and they seem to come well equiped

The hybrid is on the loud side, cvt is typical cvt type noise, the manual is the quietest, spec wise look for a icon tech, you may like the bi-tone, not 100% but the excel (top of the range) is hybrid only

Modern cars are fairly well refined, lower spec cars can suffer, the dash is a bit plasticky in the mk3, rear bumpers can pop off there clips if a nat farts in the wrong way

Thanks. It would be the manual as well. I know noise is subjective but in the showroom the hatch and door closing were a massive improvement over the MK 1 which is like shuttung the hatch on a tank with its loud "clang".

We'll check out the icon tech
