Rav 4 d4d hesitating on accelerating

Hi new to the forum, I have a 2002 rav 4 d4d  and had this problem for a while now  so on acceleration from 2nd 3rs 4th 5th  as soon as it hits 2000rpm in these gear and you continue to accelerate it starts to hesitate and if you continue to accelerate it shuts down into limp home mode and  the turbo has been stripped and cleaned and was ok for 2 weeks was fine power restored and no hesitation at all but now it is back to the way it was  and doing the exact same and engine light coming on , has anybody had the same problems and known fixes , ? Try the maf sensor. On top of the air filter. Put it on a computer and c the code it throw's up.

The MAF sensor may cause your symptoms and I believe you can unplug it and drive the car as it will fall back to a default setting which allows you to see if the problem persists.
