Aygo 2nd service costs/North West; tips?

I'm not overly fussed about keeping to Toyota main dealers but if the price is competitive with servicing at other dealers I'll stay "loyal".

Are any Toyota garages within the northwest or WYorks area open to flexibility on prices?

if you have an existing warranty its best to stick to Toyota dealers.

Most Toyota dealers offer Toyota's fixed price servicing.

One doesn't have to use Toyota dealers for servicing during the new cwr warranty, but, if a warranty claim occurs which is dependent on correct servicing, the onus is on the owner to prove that servicing has been carried out to Toyota's requirements. Also goodwill is lost.

The onus isn't on the customer. All he or she has to do is use a vat registered garage and Toyota approved parts. 

I'd buy the brake fluid and supply the garage if it was an issue and staple the receipts. It's not special brake fluid or oil. If anything Toyota won't buy the best oil. 

Let's face it they only offer top brand tyres yet put the cheapest ditchfinders on "Toyota approved" cars on their sales lots.

In the case of a warranty claim which is dependent on correct servicing being done, the onus is on the owner to have proof the car has been serviced in accordance to manufacturer's requirements (correct service interval, etc). This may be invoices showing OE parts and the correct grade fluids (oil, etc) have been used - not necessarily Toyota branded fluids.

No manufacturer will use the 'best' parts or fluids - they will use parts and fluids which meet stated specifications.

As regards tyres on Toyota Approved cars, obviously it is the dealers who choose which tyres to put on approved cars prior to sale if needed, not Toyota, and if those replacement tyres meet the requirements of the Toyota Approved scheme in terms of tread depth and condition, rather than being premium tyres, that's OK.

The onus is on the owner to prove the service has been completed correctly if they choose to use a non franchised repairer, as the owner you need to ensure whoever completes the job uses parts of OE quality, using the correct specification fluids and complete the correct replacements, ( oil, filters, fluids ) the correct inspections and adjustments etc, if you use a non franchised repairer and need to make a warranty claim you may need to provide proof by way of invoice, parts receipts, service check sheets etc .

A 2018 car should still have the remainder of the new car warranty, so won't apply in this instance.

However, Toyota extended warranties don't come under Block Exemption, and it is a condition of the Toyota extended warranty that the vehicle is serviced within the Toyota dealer network.
