This is a smart way of doing it because the what times are less and therefore more likely to get a sale. 
Just my thought on delivery times. 

I thought Toyota put a hold on ghost orders.  When we got our Yaris in September, a car that was in dealer stock, if the car wasn't sold in September, Toyota were recalling to central stock.

My guess is the delays could be for lease cars  as the discounts are sometimes higher so they might be a lower priority.

No idea. Just seems strange I ordered in April and they are quoting July delivery still.

Just had a video message sent from my dealer out of the blue today with the screen he can see. He can see a lot more detail so should go into build within the next few days he said! Ordered 23rd March. Estimated 15th august then moved forward to 3rd august now estimated 29th July. Hopefully be here sooner once in build!

Tell me about it. I spoken to the branch manager earlier he is going to look into it and call me within 24 hours. Really not sure if to cancel it or just wait it out. I think they messed up with the order or somthing. Has anyone else had to wait that long.

If your vehicle is now showing data on the MyT app by saying it's processing have a look at the backend via a web browser on a laptop and it should give you a date. 2023 sounds pretty unlikely if you ordered in Jan. Someone has definitely messed up.

It shows nothing on the back end data. The sales guy got it from his system.

Derbyshire has just appeared for me too. Ordered a 2.0 Design TS/Estate in Red at the end of Febuary. Showing estimated delivery as 2022-08-11 in the back end.

Managed to snag a cancelled order deposit paid today collecting next week 1.8 Icon Tech h/b in silver . 😁
