Currently it is not a good time to buy any car new or used and has been like that since summer of 2021 when the prices started to climb up sharply. Now Toyota are even more expensive than December, it’s simply no go market unless in an emergency for a car change.
For the new 2023 Corolla excel that looses jbl music, don’t need to worry about it, you will get a completely new infotainment system and digital drivers display best in all Toyota cars plus new gen5 hybrid system, I would say this is the best you can get for your money especially to all that placed an order for my22 but getting my23 for the same money or similar. Guys, you are lucky , don’t complain, just keep waiting 👍👌

That’s the point we are not getting a MY23 for the same price as a MY22! It’s more and some have lost their finance deals. If I got offered a MY23 without JBL then fine but Toyota have decided that after ten months waiting pay more or go back to square one

That’s not good then and should not be the case. On their website in uk they have promise that will not change the deal because of longer waiting times. Perhaps fight for your rights . 👍

Well I can only comment on my order which was placed in Oct 2022. This was before the interest rise and price increase. My dealer actually phoned me and advised that I should place an order straight away which I did. Because I did this, I have it in writing that I will not pay anything extra what ever happens. My current lease contract finishes in August this year. Dealer reckons that will be around the time my MY23 will arrive. My monthly payments will remain the same. I will be trading in a 2020 TS 2.O Design for a 2023 TS 2.0 Design. So almost like for like. I don't know if this has some bearing on the deal in my case. But we shall see want transpires nearer the change over date. I hope Toyota will keep there promise on this one. If not, bye bye Toyota.

This is excellent advice, I really appreciate it.

I was so close to putting in an order for the MY23 TS 2.0 Excel. But it makes far more sense not to give myself anxiety through being in a queue for a product where the specs have not even been released, and where the delivery date predictions are even less reliable than a budget airline's schedule.

Just human nature Tony - and we do this very well 😁

Just before I received the final call saying that my delivery is further pushed back , I was already on the edge and couldn’t make up my mind what would be best - to get delivery now with JBL or to wait a little longer and get the new model with all the other goodies … obviously Toyota made that decision for me 🙃 but honestly maybe it’s for the better … I’m pretty sure with time I would have always looked  back and wished for the things that the new model is bringing …. Anyway , the waiting game continues  ☺️🤞

I like the front indicators integrated with the led running lights. Anyone know where the 12v Battery is in the 2.0 L, didn’t appear to be in the boot?

Let's hope there isn't one now.😂

Thank you, the car looks great, and it would be less painful to wait together with the very friendly people on this forum.

But I suspect that if I ordered MY23 today, I will subsequently end up forced into the queue for MY24 next January (with an update from Toyota demanding more money)!

Production will pick up speed this year. My guess is if you order now maybe you will get the car August/ October

Usually face lift is every 3 years if I'm not wrong. So no new model till 2026

I tried so many others but nothing like Toyota TS Excell .

If Toyota bump up the price so everyone else will. There is no escape 😂🤣

I personally will wait. This is my first new car and not giving up. The more I wait the more I save. My finance deal was with 0%  If they change the interest will pay more deposit for the shortest time possible to save some 💷

How much disinformation can Toyota put out there ? Seriously ?

MY23 orders between August and October eta delivery March 2023 ?!

Before anybody jumps on the fact that it is just an estimate … my order from last May is given delivery eta for June , surely at the time of putting out this they were aware of the real estimates … why say it ?

Looks very smart! Nice to see one actually built in a Uk spec. That feels like a big step forward!

Finally ! Good to see Toyota have started production of MY23.

I'm one of the Denim Blue Brigade, it will be 12 months next month since I ordered my Excel HB 2.0 Corolla. So these pictures provide "Light at the End of the Tunnel"

I am  at the same position. I've ordered denim blue Ts excel on 31st of  March22 (the colour was changed in September22) and had phone call from dealer today, eta is June- July atm. 😪

Interesting ! I changed my Colour in Sept too ! To Sterling Silver. My Dealer has said it is showing as March for delivery but I'll probably guess that will mean April at the earliest. The Dealer will honour the Original price and Metallic Paint cost ( Gone from £540 to £960 !!) the potential sticking point will be my Trade in Value but I'll fight that nearer the time. This is all against the backdrop of 2 Price Increases which now means the Excel HB has gone from just over £30k to £36K with Metallic Paint but I guessing you already know that !.

The Dealer did say that Toyota UK will prioritize all outstanding 2022 orders first (Target March and April) and this was backed up with a conversation I had with Toyota GB too.

So Fingers crossed you might get your Corolla at little sooner ?

Hatch or estate?

I understand Hatchbacks will come earlier than estates
