Corolla - UK delivery/lead times, etc

Ordered May 4th, 1.8 TS Scarlett Flare Design. Went into build this morning!

Original delivery was stated as November, the December and more recently March so appears on track with latest estimates.

Spoke directly with Toyota customer relations today and they said there is no ETA on the order at all, there's no notes or updates on there at all since the June 22 order was placed. Asked her if they could get in touch with anyone to check if there was an issue, maybe the order was stuck with an issue as still hasnt even been populated with the full information and they said that wasnt possible. 

The myT app only shows "Corolla HB/TS" on the order and nothing else. Clearly hasnt been assigned a production line yet. 

Anybody else with orders around June 22 still with nothing changed and no ETA at all?

Was looking forward to owning a Toyota and got a really good deal but starting to consider just looking for something used somewhere else as my confidence this order is ever going to be fulfilled is diminishing.

We ordered end of June 22, originally told September, then December, now Feb/March and expect to be delayed again.

Dealer actually contacted in December to say they were expecting the Car end of Dec/early Jan and then it was all suddenly called off. (See my previous post)

App shows order processing, and changed to show Derbyshire location around two weeks ago.

No update from dealer and still don’t know if it’s will be My22 or My23.

I was in the same situation. The only difference with me is that I bought direct with Toyota online and I didn't get many updates unless I call them.

Has anybody who ordered an M23 HB had a confirmed expected delivery? Is it just those that ordered M22 but getting M23 that are getting cars and estimates of arrival?

I ordered in early Sept MY23 TS, estimates change when you ask the dealer periodically and can move either way, actual deliveries so far appear to be my22 orders than turned into my23

Ordered MY23 HB mid September. Dealer originally told me March delivery (I knew it wouldn't happen), and recently told me it's now moved to mid May (that won't happen either)

Quick update.

1. Ordered Corolla TS Excel 2.0 L  Denim Blue / JBL   on    9 February 2022

2. Car colour changed from Denim Blue to Sterling Silver (Pearlescent Paint) on 2 September 2022

3. Updated delivery date was end of March

4.  Build in progress started Tuesday at 11:00

5. Today went from build in progress to left the factory and in transit.

Looks like we are running in parallel, my build completed this morning too.

Will be interesting to see how long it takes to get to the dealer now and whether it will be the last of the 72 plates or first of the 23 plates!

It would be nice to have MY23 with 23 number plate. Not sure what will happen in my case. My car is on the way to Toyota Online Retail and not the local Toyota dealer.

I think Toyota online are based in Toyota head office.😂 And maybe from there to my dealer. Who knows

My initial order and subsequent changes were exactly the same ie Denim Blue to Sterling Silver with JBL. The only difference is I ordered it on the 19th Feb. So I am expecting some movement any time soon !

Has there been much noise around APR/purchase price. I've heard Toyota are holding 0% to end of March, so more wondering whether you've been asked to pay more or dealers are helping..

I got nothing yet. Car is near my house already 😂😂😂 and no payment mentioned or APR.  But who cares let's get the car first we worry about the 💸 later 🤣🤣🤣

I had the phone call today I’ve been waiting for that the car has arrived and I can collect the car next week anytime.

Can anyone advise roughly how long it takes for the Car to be registered and ready for collection once received at the dealers?

I contacted our dealer today to confirm that our car has gone into build and to request that we would like it registered in March as we are already mid feb.

We have been told that although it’s gone into build it may not be ready for collection in March as it can still take several weeks?

They also said they don’t know if it’s MY22 or MY23, how can they not know?

I signed my registration document on 7th Feb and I’m collecting my car on Wednesday 15th. This is 23 Model so most likely yours will be 23 as well.

My dealer registered the car in 2 days. After that you're ready to drive. Then you'll receive the registration letter in your post.
You'll also be offered a 3 day comprehensive insurance.

That is a possibility, but (from own experience) the car will be delivered to the dealer in one/two weeks. The dealers have their own agendas/goals and might be managing you to collect the car in March.

It's definitely going to be a MY23, they're not building MY22 anymore.

Just back from the dealer to finalise the paperwork.  Picking up next week - gives them time to register it and fit the essential protection pack.

We would have preferred a 23 plate, but the dealer offered a little more on the PX which met our needs (or it would have been off to Cazoo or Motorway).

Price and finance deal (1.9%) were honoured (ordered June 22).

The blue is a lovely colour.

Very content.
