Hmm. Paid my deposit for a Touring Sport Design back in February, for September delivery (apparently).  Dealer told me then, "It should show up in the App shortly"  Well, it didn't and it's still not there.  Dealer can't help with that.  Based on comments on here, guys, I doubt it'll be here in September!  Never mind, eh? 🙄

Progress 😂

1. Ordered Corolla TS Excel 2.0 L Denim Blue / JBL on 9 February 2022

2. Car colour changed from Denim Blue to Sterling Silver (Pearlescent Paint) on 2 September 202

3. Updated delivery date was end of March

4. Build in progress started 07/02/23

5. Left the factory and in transit on 10/02/23

6. Arrived  at the dealer 15/03/23

7. Finance agreement signed on 13/04/24. (painful slow)

Purchase price went up cos of MY23. Had to pay extra 3050£ for the upgrade which is fine. I had 14 months to save 🤣. I m happy in a way that I m getting MY23 with 23 number plate

Toyota honoured the agreed 0% interest for the next 3.5 year's  ( well done Toyota)

And now my finance agreement says car will be registered on 18/04/23

Maybe will pick up the car in the next 2 weeks. Happy days 🎉

I have the exact same model and colour on order but checked again and still eta 8 June (sept order), I was informed many Corollas on order are due around that time which suggests a large production run is planned for the U.K. in May sometime.

Maybe they have been clearing the European backlog a Country at a time? Alphabetically and we are the U.K.😂

Gosh - not sure if you are lucky or unlucky!  I ordered my 2.0TS Design at same time as you did (albeit via a broker), delivered mid September.  I gather it was ready in August but registration delayed for new plate and delivery delayed as I wanted it transported.  But mine, of course is the 22 model, and price was as at time of order.

Main thing is that you are happy with the deal, and that you will be delighted with your new car.

Order  12 April 2022, due for delivery February 2023.

Update on today (18 April 2023) is anticipated delivery date of 28/8/2023. The addition of another month since the last update . 😂 🤣 😹 😆  Guessing will be a 73 plate or maybe 24 plate.

Order is for TS 2.0 Icon in Juniper Blue (was Icon Tech in denim blue)

They will be little point in bothering at all with 2023 models soon, may as well go straight to 2024.

We ordered end of March 2022, and a few weeks back had a latest ETA of June. But last week, had a notification through MyT that our order had updated.

Speaking to our dealer, the ETA changed to end of May.

We are waiting to have fun chats over trade-in value, 0% APR and vehicle price 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

1.8 TS Design (was denim now obsidian)

Well the 13 month wait is finally over, never test drove it but it’s brilliant and so impressed.

Is the production of Corolla in Derbyshire a 7 day a week or just Monday to Friday?

I went to dealer today just to see if they knew anything about my order. Well, I ordered back in Oct 22 and was given an eta of April 23. So today dealer says it may catch the June build slot if I am lucky but if not it could be August / October which is a year's wait anyway. Dealer is advising new customers that orders taken from now on could take up to a year to arrive. So not a rosy picture at present which seems to fit in with most of the comments on this thread about the waiting times. It appears that the change over from 22 to 23 spec could not have come at a worse time when parts and chips were in short supply. The factory have been trying to claw back lost time ever since but can only do so much.

Hi all,

I gather it may be some time before I get my Corolla 2l hybrid GR Sport from what I am reading here. I thought it may be interesting for others to know what I am being told at point of order. I will also update my experience here as I progress through the process to new car being delivered.

Anyway order just placed and dealer saying should get car in October 23.

Sounds optimistic?

Have ordered a 2.0l design TS this week and also told expected Oct delivery. I’ve noticed the estimated time for delivery on the Toyota website has reduced from 27 weeks to 24 weeks

Hi,

is it a hatchback or a touring sport?

Paid a visit to the dealership today. 9th June is the current date for my Corolla TS GR Sport 2l ordered October 22.

fingers crossed. That is still just an estimate though. No confirmed build slot yet.

on a technical point , the brochure says the TS has flappy paddles. But the HB demonstrator didn’t. Does that sound correct?

The 2l in either version has flappy paddles and the 'S+/- 'on the gear selector rather than the 1.8's 'B'.

Sounds like the demonstrator was a 1.8.

Latest orders seems to be fulfilled quicker. I would say if you just place an order you might be getting your new car before some people who ordered Christmas. No speculation, just noted herein the post.

So far I’ve only noted MY22 orders that converted to 23 being fulfilled, I’ve not seen anyone who ordered from Sept22 when MY23 opened reporting having received theirs, they all appear to have an eta beginning of June suggesting a planned U.K. production run around then, actually putting the sept purchases at 40 weeks which is appalling especially as Toyota are ignoring us with no communication.

I guess not many people placing orders now. Interest on finance is up to 8.2 already and more for short term.

I believe they still do.

I will be taking the finance and FDA then paying it off straight away, trying  to charge 7.9% and add on £5000 over the course of an average 4 year agreement is quite frankly scandalous, I really have gone off Toyota as brand. But yes I do still like their cars.
