So far I’ve only noted MY22 orders that converted to 23 being fulfilled, I’ve not seen anyone who ordered from Sept22 when MY23 opened reporting having received theirs, they all appear to have an eta beginning of June suggesting a planned U.K. production run around then, actually putting the sept purchases at 40 weeks which is appalling especially as Toyota are ignoring us with no communication.

Ordered my 1.8 Icon TS in September and took delivery first week in March.

You can buy cash if you have the money 💰

I could but then wouldn’t receive the £2500 FDA

I have to say I wouldn’t wipe my behind with the current ` Deals ‘  that are being offered by the finance companies, absolute joke if you ask me

Yep. They are trying to catch as many as possible this year.😂 Forecast is for interest rate to go down next year and the year after.

Would be interesting to know how sales have been affected over the last 6 months or so since the rates went up

A good way around this if you do have the money is take PCP deal to get the £2.5k deposit contribution then settle the finance straight away

Is this because of the consumer credit cooling off period ?

I believe James you can do it at any time, but the sooner you do it the less interest you pay. Its what I'm doing so will report back on my experience when I get the car. So get car then ask Toyota finance for settlement figure. So I will do this in the 14 day cooling off period anyway but I am sure you don't have to

As i said before... again UK dealers they deceive you about the delivery time of the car from the new order. I reading here that if your order NOW your car will get to you around autumn.... NO. If you want to order brand new corolla ts in Poland estimated delivery time is around winter.... but no 2023 winter.... 2024/2025 winter.

Seems to vary a lot depending on where you order, having checked the Toyota website today it’s now estimating 23 weeks for a TS 2.0l order, that would be end of sept.

Probably depends on the annual allocation each country gets.

Just had an update from the Toyota GB regarding my HB 1.8 Excel which I ordered in end of Sep 22.

I had an ETA of 6th June given to me by the dealer three weeks ago. When I called Toyota GB this morning, they told me that I have a build slot for 14th May (good to know the Factory is still working on Sundays) and the ETA is End of May. Of course all dates are estimates but at least my previously given June ETA seems still on the card. Keeping my fingers crossed but I will believe it when I see it (parked on my drive).

I ordered in September 2022, the dealer estimated April/May delivery, so it’s not late yet ….. but when I spoke to them yesterday, they apologised that it’s not even in pre-production yet (whatever that is) and had no idea when it would be delivered. It’s not a problem, there’s no rush as my existing car is absolutely fine, thankfully!

Ordered my 1.8 Excel HB 20th September 2022. The last update on ETA was 3 weeks ago, now been put back to early August. It's a joke how there's so much variation in delivery times. Also, trying to get Toyota Financial Services to give an answer on the length of validity of the agreed rate at the time (1.9%), is nigh on impossible..

Toyota FS say its the dealer who can confirm this, dealer says its FS. Round and round and round.. 🙄

As an aside, has anyone here taken delivery of a new car with a pano roof this year?

They will honour the agreed interest. I paid extra for the new model but 0% finance agreement was honoured after 14 months. Took Toyota 3 weeks to process the paperwork. A lot of patience is required these days 😜

Dig backlog in Toyota but they catching up slowly. I'm pushing for registration to be done in the next 3 days to pick up Saturday nearly 15 months later 😁

My ETA has come forward 2 weeks to 27May

Thought I'd share my story to help others.

Ordered my 2.0L Corolla TS excel with pan roof and JBL in March 2022. Got a good deal, £2.6k off plus 0% interest.

Due for delivery in August 22, then delayed to October, then January 23, then early May.

Got the notification for processing order on the 28th Feb, build on the 4th April and delivery to dealer 13th April.

Now my dealer messed up and didn't tell me about the model year price increase or the JBL wasn't on there until 4 days before collection. (I knew because of you guys and gals). Said they'd honour the 0% but I'd have to pay another £2.5k for the MY change.

Mostly thanks to my wife, we stood our ground and said no, we'd walk away and get our deposit back if they wouldn't honour the agreement.

After a few days of wrangling they agreed and we picked up the car today 😀. No JBL but MY23 and lots of upgrades at the MY22 price! They even refunded the JBL.

Stick to your guns on the price difference, it's their fault they couldn't deliver the MY22 car not yours!

How is the stock audio system , can you live with it or it is a big let down ? In my Auris it was terrible , my son in the back was never able to enjoy the music or even to hear it properly. If he did , it was disturbing in the front … obviously here the soundproofing comes into conversation too. Thanks

Enjoy your new car 👍

The sound system is okay, not amazing but it's good enough that I'm not going to be looking into anything aftermarket 👍

Hi all , first time posting but have been have been reading for years. Over here in Ireland there doesn’t seem to be a supply problem of the Corolla. I ordered a MY23 Saloon the week of the 17th March and took delivery of it last Friday. It’s in a new colour called Midnight Teal.

It’s my first Hybrid for me and not my first Toyota car have been driving Toyota for years. Traded in a 2016 Auris Diesel for the 1.8 Hybrid. So far loving it and fuel economy is extremely good with 800km already done.

I think audio in my car is between poor and mediocre.  It works, but doesnt engage at all despite tweaking and untweaking of balance and treble etc controls, lacking clarity etc.

Dare I say that the radio sound of the  2021 "basic" Ceed I had for a few months was rather better - and even muted the radio to front Speakers if (Google via Android Auto) navigation gave instructions.

And .... I am not very fussy about car audio at all.  Must admit that the mediocre sound doesnt exactly make me want to turn the radio etc on.

But the rest of the car experience (a 22 2.0 TS Design) is rather wonderful.

I agree with you. Sound is not good at all for 2023 model. But I guess the more time we spend in the car the more we get used to it. Hopefully in 3 year's time when no chip shortage the new 26/27 model will have JBL😂
