Beautiful car 🚗. The GR version has the previous design front bumper which  I like a bit more, no large chrome grills around the fog lights and interesting rear bumper design. Also have you noticed guys since 2022 all Corolla comes with black paint on rear hatch hinges and unpainted insulator between hinge and body, definitely earlier models had corrosion issues at these points and Toyota did improve the design, something older models owners need to check and if corroded to request a warranty repair. 👍

Although, if it is rust, probably surface rust (rather than perforation) and only covered under the 3 year paint and surface rust warranty - so early cars would now be outside this warranty period

The Toyota website is quoting delivery from 8 weeks on the HB now, vs 21 weeks for a TS.

As an aside, when I ordered the MY23 spec wasn’t finalised. I was shown the HUD on the MY22 I test drove and told it would be on the MY23 GR sport but they have taken it off. Also heated steering wheel, heated windscreen and blind spot monitors are not included. None of which are game changers though so still happy.

I noticed  in sept the HUD was only on the Excel, why I didn’t order another GRSport. I’m not aware of a heated windscreen or steering wheel on any trim level

With the Remote Climate Control feature in the Toyota MyT App shouldn't need a heated windscreen

Exactly, was one of the reasons I ordered my Excel too. No heated screen or steering wheel on any trim, that's correct.

Progress? MyT app changed this morning, status is still the same but it now shows both the actual model and the drawing is now change to an image of what I have actually ordered. Does this mean things are progressing or am I reading too much in to this?

Mine has done the same. My anticipated delivery date is from the end of August, so this may just be an app update of some sort.

The car in my app is the correct colour (white for me) and (from the wheels) looks like the right trim too.

Two days after the same change you have described, my HB excel went into build (last month)... and another three days after that, mine was out of the factory.

I think your build will start very soon.

Does the MyT app automatically change from this screen, when the build starts?

I placed my order via CarWow, I'm assuming that won't make any difference though..

Hi,

there is another screen which shows the progress. There are examples further back in this thread I think but you will have to get your dealer to ‘connect’ your Toyota account to your order to see it.

Mine started to show the correct colour and spec on 31st May and I thought like you that things were starting to move. But nothing has happened since and still waiting for the 'Build in progress' to start. Very frustrating as I need two new tyres soon and don't want to spend out if the new car arrives soon.

Yes, the license plate, vin no info etc automatically populated on my app however, this happened after my car was received at the dealership. I did not have to insert any of the above info.

If you see your order number on the app (starts with two letters, followed by four digits) just above the image of the car, then your order/car is already connected to your MyT app and you do not need to do anything. Mine was also via Carwow but it did not make any difference to status updates on the app. Everything worked fine.

OK thanks. Every time I've spoken to my dealer they've told me there's nothing they can do, and I have to wait until it goes into build. Then the app will update using my email address from my order to link to MyT. 

My dealer's been useless from the day I placed my order tbh.. 🙄

Same as you. My dealer emailed me to say it had changed to build but nothing in the app under purchased. I even emailed app support 3 days ago but nowt back.

reading all of theses posts it seems to me that ordering and waiting for a new vehicle is very stressful 😞

Finally got my 2.0 TS Excel on Friday in sterling silver, early sept order. 
A big upgrade from the MY22 2.0 GR Sport. 
This version of hybrid system is the best yet together with safety sense 3.0.
