Door hinge snap noise

Anyone had issues when opening and closing Drivers door which makes a horrible snapping noise. It seems to be coming from inside the door, I guess it’s to do with the hinge. As it’s a 16 reg hope it will be a warranty job.

Does the door stay need lubricating?

Like FROSTYBALLS says, lubricate the check strap, it's the piece located midway between the two door hinges, to stop the doors over-opening and damaging the bodywork. It's unlikely to have failed on a 3 year old car...

Thanks for your replies. After further inspection the bolt on the door stay  inside the car door had become loose, tightened it and jobs a good one.
