rusty subframe 2002

guys anyone know if the petrol and dervs all had the same rear subframes? mine recently failed the mot,the cars still got plenty of life so would be a shame to send her too the graveyard.iv'e spotted a few listed on eBay but they are for petrol cars and mine is the d4d

How bad is the rust?  Usually they mention the rust but does not seriously weaken or affect stability. Have u had it up on ramps, serious pressure wash or wire brushing to remove suave rust blisters, then spray the underside with underseal. Unless the bushes are deteriorated but these could be replaced if u have the time, patience and know how.

 its bad,the mot guy put holes in it with a hammer.probably making sure it had to be replaced and not tidied up to look ok.in fairness i wouldn't have been happy driving round with it being that bad.

i have located a replacement only thing is the seller says i will need a few bushes.can they even be got now?
