Time to say Farewell and ask advice

Well, it had to happen.

After 11 years it’s time to say farewell to the trusty 1.4 D4D. This has been the most reliable and economical car we have ever owned. We have owned it from new and apart from normal servicing the only expenses have been tyres, a new Battery after 9 years, and one failed wheel bearing. It has never used a drop of oil between services. £30 tax and £180 insurance.

Amazing.

Question now is where to sell it, and what price to ask. First reg. August 2008. 49miles. Full detailed service history. Excellent all round condition.

The key things are 

LOW TAX: this is s sure fire winner at the cheap end of the market

LOW FUEL CONSUMPTION: ditto

No or little rust

One owner for years

Service history

 

Low miles

 

And cheap to run  mainatenance wise and reliable.

Yes there are ones at over £3k  but your are a private seller with no dealer warranty..  And I wouid haggle down to £2750..ish..

You might get more but winter approaches, Brexit uncertainty is killing the used car market (Pendragon UK's largest s/h car vendor is in deep doo-doo)
