Running In...

Do you consider 800 miles an adequate “run in” for a new TS?

Is it time to have some fun?

Aye they don't need running in these days...but at the same time, redlining alot while it's still new isn't recommended. Not just the engine you have to think about...but brakes as well...new pads/discs always take a little bedding in before the full performance is achieved.

Just drive it, but don't thrash it.

It's also been said that if drive it like a saint for say a 1000 miles or whatever...then you lose the responsiveness later... dunno how much truth there is in that though.

its recommended that you take these engines through to the redline on the first three gears at least three or four times a week

to keep all the oil ways clear and ensure all the electronic trickery is still happy

s'all right when they hear the word 'Jaxx' they politly shake your hand, appologise for the inconvenience and then give you a safe escort upto your top speed.

One of my mates got stopped for speeding, but when they sent his name through, the officer in charge told them to let him go. Apparently his dad served with the officer in the Falklands and saved his life or something. The PC was gutted.

So, if you somehow manage to save the life of every policeman in your area, you should be able to drive as fast as you like!
