Filling gas tank

New 2019 RAV4 XLE Hybrid, One month old;  Is anyone having problems topping off their gas tank?  Each time we fill up the tank the gas pump stops about 1/2 way filled and we need to dribble the balance in the tank.  Constant pump shut offs due to back flow of gas gets annoying.  Anyone else experienced this condition?

My UK spec Excel Hybrid has been fine.  I do have to trickle the last litre or so, but that's pretty normal.

Have you tried many different pumps in case it's a pump thing?

Our filler is on left of the car, is it the same in your location?  If yours is on the other side, perhaps a different filler design doesn't help.

Do you still have the type of fuel pump that 'locks on' until the auto stop activates? In the UK, where the club is based, think these types of pump are illegal, so we have the type where the trigger needs to be applied all the time fuel is dispensed.
