Did anyone try the fuel additives in their cars like nitrox and 100+?I tried the latter and Ive found the engine to be more responsive and well able to go faster since I added it to my petrol.Does no harm to cat convertors or your engine.Havent found any problems yet anyway. It cleans your engine as well.Cost me a tenner a bottle

I guess we're not talking about octane boosters, then?

As these are burned in the cylinder with the fuel, they'll only last as long as the additive is in the tank.

Are these additives you're talking about more like an engine treatment lubricant?

I dont think so spratty it said it enchances the performance of your engine. Its an american company that makes it.Says ya get your money back if not satisified so they seem to believe in it well I have to agree cause it feels like im getting more power when I put the boot down cause it used to struggle a bit before that and it can handle 80mph no probs even though I have only a 1 litre.

Almost as good vmail..

says the same thing on the bottle  ..except nos

ummmmmm no, thats like going to asda and buying a box of electricity!

youll find NOS is a brand name not a product! as in Nitrous Oxide Systems. NOS is a flase acronym given to nitrous itself!

Its an octain boosting fuel additive just like Millers that rhains mentioned.

Just for the reference Nitrous Oxide is stored under very high pressure in a sealed bottle. It also evaporates extremely quickly at room temperature and is very very cold :P So some in a plastic bottle is a bit optomistic!

So the question to the answer is, NO it doesnt contain 'nitrous'! And its not fake in that respect, its just another octain booster.

That'd just be crazy - it's 2 for 1 at Tesco's.

Where can you get the fuel additives from? (Halfords? Just found out I get 10% discount there - hoorah!)

Is the BP ultimate stuff really that good then?

I just bought some STP fuel treatment - no idea if it works though.
