If your 1.8 has the same headlight circuitry as the 1.4 and 1.6 petrol and 2.0 diesel, then its direct from the lighting switches to the headlights. ( thats with no daylight running circuit )

The fuses provide the + power and the switches complete the circuit by switching to ground, no relays or other boards,  according to the Haynes manual.

To say you started this thread 2 months ago, and the airbag recall 4 months before that , would not leave it much longer if you want to ask Toyota UK to look at the problem.

Thought you had tried a Resistor on your seats, plus if it was the seat it would be either, though thats not what the error codes you produced say ...

Cannot you  Reset the service light as metioned in my Tuesdays post  ?  but first might be worth trying the method this guy demonstrates !

Rationalized all this and see the Airbag Recalls x2 (latest Sensor replacement) was a primary cause. So it's Christmas and I decided to treat myself to a new car, and it's not a Toyota.

Traded in and moving on. Had enough.

Thanks for all the friendly helpful advice from everyone on the forum.
