Hi. I have a 1994 Starlet GT Turbo (automatic) and I'm worried about its Turbo. The car seems to be driving okay (without smoke, engine noises, leaks, or overheating), but the Boost indicator never passes the 0 mark (doesn't go into the +). It feels as if the Turbo isn't kicking in fully when I need it. Is this just a characteristic of the Automatic GT's or is there something wrong with the Turbo. Is it possible that the Turbo had it's output reduced somehow? The car has only 49,000 miles on the clock. Can anyone help me?

the best advice i can gove is if you can get a vacum pressure gauge and then measure the turbo pressure, i think 6.5psi is healthy, also you could increase the pressure upto 9.5 psi
