Automatic gearbox oil

Hello ,

I have a Toyota Auris 2008 1.6 petrol, 84k mile automatic transmission.

My question: Does change (replace) the oil in the gearbox or not?  And if you change how many miles do you need to change the oil?

 Thank you

Presume yours is a Multi Mode Transmission.

Check your owners manual for the service info, it should tell you what is checked at what mileage.

You are due for a change at 80k miles, or 4 years since the last change, whichever comes first.

MMT is not an automatic gearbox, so do not confuse the two. MMT is just a traditional manual gearbox with electronically controlled clutch.

When buying the oil for it, consult your owners manual.
