Camry -03 Transmission shifts on higher RPM when cold

Hi guys,

I bought a 2003 Camry this summer and it's a fantastic car i think.

But now that the temperatures are around freezing in the mornings I've noticed that the car shifts around 500-700 RPM higher when cold outside.

Does anyone know if this is programmed in the computer or just because the fluids are cold?

Also as I want to take care of the transmission the best i can, I would like to know if it's bad for the trans and wears it much faster to drive while it's cold?

I mean I can always wait a few minutes with the car on idle and let everything warm up if that's much better for the transmission, but I'm usually in a hurry lol.

Thanks

The shift points are higher when the fluid is cold.
